CATS Drama

St Andrew's Church Hall Brownley Road Wythenshawe M22 0DW 0161 945 1051 Email: cats1922@live.co.uk Community Amateur Theatrical Society is a voluntary group and always welcome new members over the age of 16.  CATS haveproduced an array of plays & pantomimes. Also talent shows, in the community, aising money for 'Children in need'. CATS meet at St Andrews Church, (corner of Brownley Road/Simonsway each Tuesday evening at 7.30pm and welcome newcomers to the group in whichever way they wish to contribute. They also help other groups as and when the need arises. CATS are mobile and do encourage shows at venues other than their own.

Crossacres Craft Clubs

Crossacres Community Resource Centre Peel Hall Road Wythenshawe M22 5DG 0161 437 0717 A Knitting and Crochet group meets every Monday afternoon between 1pm and 3pm with a more general craft session; knitting, sewing, card craft, painting and colouring taking place every Friday afternoon 1pm to 3pm. Craft Shop Monday - Friday, 10am - 4pm. Stock includes a good number of handcrafted items including shawls, cardigans, door stops and jewelry that are all reasonably priced

Northenden Players Theatre Club

Methodist Church Hall Victoria Road Northenden Manchester M22 4JP 0161 445 6868 Email: rhadwen@mac.com Northenden Players Theatre Club (NPTC) is based in Northenden, Greater Manchester and has been in existence for 70 years. The membership stands at over 340 and there are over 260 Season Ticket holders Tickets for the venue, which holds about 90 seats, can be obtained by contacting the ticket secretary on 0161 445 6868 Ticket prices are £8 for non members and £5 for members. Membership is £14 for full members and £8 for seniors/students Performances are held on Sundays at 7:00pm and from Tuesday to Saturday at 7:30pm.

Manchester Enterprise Academy Simonsway Wythenshawe M22 9RH 0161 998 6252 Singing group for over 50s. Sing a wide range of musical styles from traditional to ballads & modern classics. Every Thursday 1.15 - 2.45pm First session is free, then £3 per week.

Sarelles Morris Dancing

The Sarelles wereformed in 2007, but already have lots of dancers and enter dancing competitions. Practice is every Tuesday at 5.30pm till 8.00pm at Benchill Community centre.  They currently have four troupes - Babies, Dinkies, Juniors and Seniors and are always looking for new dancers. No dancing experience is required as they are pleased to teach anybody who is interested and willing to have a go. It's a great way to stay in shape and make new friends. Subs are £2.00 per week and any money that is raised is put straight back into the troupe for uniforms, the practice room, dancing competitions, etc. If you are interested in joining the troupe please leave a message on the website comments page, so that you can be contacted.
